BeccaTobin grew up in Marietta, Georgia, the younger of two daughters. Both her parents are lawyers. Her father is Jewish. Tobin is Jewish. Because of the bullying, Tobin did not walk to her graduation.She is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, from where she graduated in 2007. Tobin was in a relationship with nightclub owner Matt Bendik until his death on July 10 14th, 2014. The couple got engaged to entrepreneur Zach Martin in May 2016. The couple was had a private wedding ceremony, officiated by Tobin's Glee co-star Jane Lynch, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on December 3, 2016.
